There are six varieties available. Three recipes are vegetarian (Mushroom, Cheese & Pepper, Tomato & Mozzarella).
One recipe is vegan (Arrabbiata). The Carbonara and the Bolognese varieties are meat-based recipes.
u

Is Pasta Nostra really from Italy?

Yep, it sure is! The durum wheat we turn into pasta is grown and harvested in Italy, transported to our manufacturing site in Ferrara near Bologna in Italy where our Pasta Nostra pasta pots are produced.

Can you cook Pasta Nostra in the microwave?

We recommend you use boiling water to prepare your pasta pot, as per the instructions on the side of the packaging.
But if you wish to microwave, you can (no problem!), as follows –
1. Prepare on a flat surface.
2. Shake the cup
3. Peel back lid fully, pour cold water to fill line and stir well
4. Microwave at 700 watts for 3 minutes and 30 seconds (adjust time based upon microwave wattage)
5. Stir well and enjoy

Who owns Pasta Nostra?

Pasta Nostra is owned by Beattie Brands, a UK company, with offices in the UK and Europe. It manufactures Pasta Nostra in Ferrara, near Bologna in Italy.

u

What exactly is a bronze die?

A bronze die is a perforated metal plate, through which we shape and cut the pasta. Bronze dies give the pasta a rough and porous edge, which allows it to stick to the sauce, improving the mouthfeel and flavour of the pasta. We would never use a cheaper smooth die, which produces pasta which never sticks to the sauce.

u

Pasta Nostra has a "clean label" - what does that mean?

Simply, Pasta Nostra has high ingredient and nutritional credentials. It is low fat. It has no artificial colours or preservatives. It is low in sugar. We only use natural flavourings. And all our recipes are classed as non-HFSS (non-high fat, salt and sugar).
